Microsoft’s Windows 365 service allows companies and other organizations to set up Windows PCs in the cloud, which can then be accessed by workers from any PC, tablet, or other device. More recently, Microsoft has offered thin client PCs that can only connect to a remote Windows 365 PC, like the Windows 365 Link that arrived in 2025.
The new Dell Pro Desktop for Windows 365 is another thin client PC, with a compact design, Intel N-series processors (found in many regular mini PCs and budget laptops), and a mix of USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports. It can stand vertically on a desk, and the Microsoft blog post mentions “flexible mount options,“which probably means it also supports VESA for attaching to the back of PC monitors. Dell almost certainly won’t sell this PC through normal distribution channels, since it can only be used with Windows 365, which is only available to companies and other organizations. However, it appears to be a modified OptiPlex 3000 Thin Client, which is a regular mini PC sold with various Intel Pentium and Celeron N-series processors. Microsoft a également annoncé un ASUS NUC 16 pour Windows 365, une version modifiée du NUC 16 Pro existant qui fonctionne comme un PC classique. The company is also working on new features for Windows 365, like support for pairing Bluetooth devices during the initial setup process, and custom branding and wallpapers for organizations.
